Ocean Kayaking In Cairns.

Breezy Belle Adventures is proud to announce that we have teamed up with Pacific Water Sports Cairns.

There is an abundance of water activities that take place on and off our Cairns beaches and ocean kayaking is one of them.

Where the rain forest meets the ocean, is where Pacific Water Sports Cairns feels most comfortable. Below are a list of tours that they offer. You can book here or visit them directly by clicking on their name above. Let the guys know you found them here to help us look cool.

The Kayak Turtle Tour.

The Crocs aren't interested in ya! THE TURTLES ARE THOUGH.

The Kayak Turtle Tour is the ultimate kayaking experience.  Departing from Palm Cove, they paddle out over to the coral reefs that fringe Double Island and Haycock Island (Scouts Hat).

The first stop is the turtle spot.  This is the place where the green turtle and the hawksbill turtle can be seen basking in the ocean.  More often than not you will have numerous turtle sightings. This is an exciting part of the trip for all involved.

From here on, you are either guided to the north side of the island or you move in to the south side and explore the mangroves, depending on what the tides are doing and the wind direction.  Its not uncommon to see many rays and shovel nosed sharks playing and feeding in the shallows along the tidal part of the beach.

If you venture to the north side of the island and with a low tide, you can check out the lime stone cave.  When the tide is right, you can go right inside.  Here is where you can find small stalactites hanging from the roof of the cave.  This is always a popular part of the tour for everyone.

Next stop is the beach for a swim and some fresh fruit and juice.  There is snorkeling equipment on hand too (free of course) , so if anyone feels like a snorkel, you are more than welcome to give it a go.

After all this, its time to head home. If the northerly wind kicks in, you will head back to Palm Cove though If the wind comes from the south or south-east, we will use it to make an easy paddle to a more northerly beach where your van will be waiting to pick you up. if you find paddling too hard there is a sail that can be put up to pull us all along.
